The Politecnico of Milan and the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation present the new Gianfranco Ferré Research Center, which becomes a reality upon the donation of the Foundation, by the Ferré's family, archives and headquarters to the Politecnico of Milan.

The collection of documents, drawings, clothes, accessories and objects put together by the Foundation makes for a rich and valuable legacy of the thought and work of Ferré, a 1969 graduate of the University, and of his deep roots in the Politecnico’s design culture.  Also, the materials comprise a unique reservoir into which introduce new lines of research.

The aim of the Research Center is to promote digital innovation in creative and cultural industries, combining the University’s technical-scientific know-how with the tangible and intangible heritage relative to the fashion history, culture and design techniques which the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation has preserved and valorized.
